If SDRL survives, it will go on a tear like no other you've seen... however, that's a big if... offshore OSX is typically (not always, but usually) the last energy sub sector to respond to improving energy markets... I only have a token position in a taxable acct. to keep a finger on the pulse... if/when things improve, NOV will be my OSX horse to start the next energy cycle bull trend... then, maybe, SDRL...

If SDRL were any other company, I'd just flat out say they won't make it, but I never count JF out... here's the thing, DO actually has the better balance sheet of the offshore drillers, but the fleet is so old it's almost pathetic... if RIG or SDRL or ESV or NE give up on their newest platforms because they are going BK or selling assets to survive, DO might find some new high spec rigs on sale for pennies on the dollar, but again, that might be some time down the road -- I really don't see much help for the offshore guys this year at all, so not really on my radar... yet... it will be time to wade into that sub sector again, but not anytime soon.
