CPLP/TNP,

Yeah I think I need to stick to small positions. Not an expert enough and too much macro going on.

I feel like I have better advantage in others.

Somes with my year-end foray into MLPs. I had this hedged with a USO short, but too much macro noise going on.

I don't follow CPLP.

Here are some nuggets from their recent Q3 2015 earnings release.

Nothing sounds bad. I have no idea why they shares have gone from $10 to $5 in the preceding 8 months.

The crude and product tanker markets maintained the positive momentum of the first half of the year into the third quarter of 2015, with lower oil prices favoring increased oil movements and higher refinery throughputs.

Regarding product tankers, spot freight rates for the period rose to the highest level since the second quarter of 2007.

The consistently firm spot market in the quarter saw Suezmax period rates further improving, currently at the highest level since the first quarter of 2009.

Mr. Jerry Kalogiratos, Chief Executive and Chief Financial Officer of the Partnership's General Partner, commented: "In line with our established long term distribution growth objective, we have increased our quarterly distribution to our unitholders for the third consecutive quarter. The tanker charter market, where the majority of our fleet operates and where we have the bulk of our charter renewals in the next couple of years, enjoys multi year highs on the back of the strong industry fundamentals and the lower oil price environment that boosts global oil demand.

It doesn't sound like a business where the shares should be trading at multu-yera lows.

BTW - They did a big equity issuance in Q1 2015 and raised about $110 million cash, and refinanced their balance sheet. So their debt situation should be in about as a good a situation as possible for a shipping company.
