JOE: "Try running those stats that way on the countries in Western Europe and Japan....... 20,000 suicides is a big problem...." So I ran the stats and all those countries I mentioned have higher suicide rates than the U.S. The issue is that most gun deaths are suicides, and only a small fraction of shooting deaths in the U.S. are homicides committed by non-gang non-drug perpetrators. And the president (and you) only wants to focus on white law abiding gun owners.
