They may be have intelligence which could easily alter the very fabric of our society of the past 35 years, so do not approach them yourself. Their intelligence may be contagious and you want to remain in debt.

There are lots of people who were responsible with their money over the years. They ended up with investments which are inherited by their offspring. I am no smarter than anyone else. I retired with 0 debt and plenty to keep us comfortable till we journey to the Happy Hunting Grounds.

The only inheritance I received was my mothers walking cane. In the 1940's and early 50's we lived in extreme poverty. Which now I consider was a benefit.
Because no matter what I tried to accomplish financially. Even if I failed, I would be no worse off than before I tried. There was no place to go but up. Death would have been less humiliating. It also made us frugal with our spending to protect anything accomplished. Something few people are today.

Governments encourage spending and running up credit card debt. It makes them look good like the economy & GDP is growing under their administration. Just like when they borrow money for infrastructure. They rave about the jobs created, but never accentuate that they have ran the country deeper in debt at the expense of it's citizens.

All but one of my Children are well on their way to being financially secure. From the time they were old enough to understand. (Like 5 years old) They were taught 5% of every $ that passed through their hands was to be put away to look after themselves in the future.
They could do what ever they wished with the other .95 When they had accumulated $500 it was put into either a Front end or No load Mutual fund. And thereafter continued with the 5% contributions to it. By the time they entered the work force they already had accomplished something to be proud of and continue.

You don't even miss 5% As a matter of fact it gets to be an enjoyable life long habit. And a great peace of mind comes with the feeling of security and accomplishment as you watch it grow. Learning to live by needs not wants.
Manifests it's self in other segments of your life
