So, when the Republicans controlled the Senate and the House and the Whitehouse they couldn't do anything about it? I remember a speech that Bush gave where he said Everybody should be able to buy a house. I get a lot of flack when I blame this mess in the Middle East on Bush because people tell me that Obama has been in office for a while so it has to be HIS fault because Bush was out of office quite a while ago. But, on this 2008 collapse, it's apparently ALL Jimmy Carter and Clinton's fault. The Republicans controlled EVERYTHING for quite a while under Bush but I don't remember them correcting all those mistakes by Carter and Clinton that would cause catastrophe in 2008. Were they just incompetent or asleep at the wheel????
