Actually the only products they should offer are Ram and Drives. As pointed out here swapping processors was never cost effective.

If others undercut them, they could always ad a small charge for a component to be certified.

Really its just the drives now that are problematic. An SSD drive would make my machine significantly faster since Apple can't seem to do RAM allocation... seems like RAM allocation has always been an Apple problem.

Yes arm twisting, as I mentioned before. I hate it.

They can't make products that are compelling enough for voluntary upgrades so their strategy is to make your old machine useless.

That doesn't make me feel good about them.

The thrill is gone owning a Mac.
