If koan disagrees with someone, they are "stupid" or "ignorant". Bruwin, for example, was very skeptical of many positions people here held on guns, but he was always civil (and never condescending) even when he expressed himself forcefully, and he also focused on issues or facts. There are many people on SI on both sides of the political spectrum who can do that. Koan is not one of them.
