<< on a more serios note... FIDO,whats your take on iomegas pricing from 33 to today?? >>

No idea. If I was a pesimist I would look over the last, say, 70 weeks, and see that same time last year after IOM had been bouncing around between 10 1/2 and 13 in a manner that was a trader's delight, it therupon dropped down to 8 1/2, came up with a little head fake, and then dribbled down to 7 towards the end of March. From there it steadily climbed until it hit the 16's, at which point briefing and Barron's and others issued warning signs - often with poorly researched arguments - we gainsayed them, and the rest is history. At the moment IOM has 100% of my play money except for $35 (!), and I guess I shall hang in there at least to the Q4 report towards the end of January. The fundamentals look damn good, although some may have been dismayed by the analysts assuming that Iomega would have partly to give up their monopoly position on ZIP disks. My own feeling is that the DOJ vs. Microsoft thing may encourage Kim Edwards to relax his original monopolistic strategy and come to terms, maybe with a major player in disk production. Could we drop again for another three months, say down to 8, 8 1/2? Sure. But market history has a way of not repeating itself. I am not very concerned about Asia, but a crisis of confidence in our own position here in the US would be much more dangerous. I believe that 1998 will be the year when, barring no mishap, Wall St recognizes the fundamental strength in Iomega's position and sends us up to 20. Personally i'll be bailing out when we hit the next plateau which may be anywhere between 15 and 18 and probably near reporting time as I have said. After that I'll play it by ear and may by then be in the options game.
