IMO, Hong Kong's property bubble is putting it in a very vulnerable position for an economic slow down and loss of economic wealth of the local people. If they can manage a gradual decline of property prices to a more realistic level, they have a better chance of success in keeping the currecy peg, and avoid another stock market crash. I think the government is trying to do just that. Good luck to Hong Kong.
