wow! That is a spectacular crash! 1090 to 148 PALL & 2286 to 752 PLAT, very curious about what made platinum weak in 09 vs palladium in 02.

The market wizards book had something similar, they mentioned how shorting platinum on the way up was a better trade than shorting gold. The thesis was that within similar markets(metals in this case), the weakest ones always crash first and the strongest ones always recover first. Not sure if they actually did a spread, hmmm

Do you follow gold in euro terms? Not really sure how to evaluate metals in different currency terms, but a report I read pointed out to how gold in EUR terms actually made a higher low last December with the pullback.
