Gianelda: Do you have a reference to "Prichard"? Sounds like someone I'd like to read more from. Nice to see someone else (besides me) of "pre-war" vintage on the thread. We remember the go-go sixties, don't we? I'll never forget those "new era" years, the ads, the public fascination with those aggressive growth funds. In 1968, I studied it all very carefully and played it safe, I thought, by diversifying among several of those funds with good records before putting all my money in, you guessed it, at the precise top. Got out with a 30% loss in '69 and then watched those long term investors see their portfolios drop by 80% in the early seventies. Best holiday wishes. Jack
