To all: 1998 strategies

As 1998 approaches, i think the stock mkt will be very tough in terms of "making a buck".. the mkt will be choppy and erratic at times...
this kind of mkt was highly evident between nov to dec. IT was very hard to make a big profitable trade...

What kind of stratgies should be implemented for this choppy mkt?
here are some of my ideas.. not sure if they will work.. I've only seen a bull mkt.. but not too experienced with a choppy or even down mkt..

1) follow my mkt direction system. thus hoping to get me out when a down mkt comes

2) shorten the length of trading. more short-term trades

3) sell stops are key in case trend reverses

4) stock selection will be important. there will be some sectors that will be rallying.. i plan to use CHIP's CHARTs (Sector charts) to show me where the action is.. and maybe concentrate within those sectors

=======================

Those are some of my ideas. could you all please share any of your ideas or more importantly past experiences??

should be an interesting 1998..

Chris
