All you have to do is Decline the user agreement when it starts to install, and it will not install. Thats what I do on my other Toshiba notebook.

The Windows 10 upgrade was originally classified as an Optional update, but it will be changed to a Recommended update, if it hasn't already.

Depending on how aggressive Microsoft becomes pushing the Win10 upgrade, many people could be upgraded without actually wanting to do so.

My guess is that Microsoft will eventually "encourage" upgrading by telling people that the upgrade won't be free after xxx date, and also that they will no longer support Win7 or Win8.

They don't want to continue to have to support all of the old operating systems out there.
