JF DOWD: Not shorting MSFT, betting long, what a bargain now!

John, you have me wrong. I'm not shorting MSFT, I have been betting long the last week. Before this correction, if thats what you want to call it, I could not buy into MSFT, too expensive, and could change direction rapidly. A little guy like me can't afford to loose that kind of money, I risk 1000 sh, with money that I don't have.

I first bought MSFT at 127, sold at 128 and just assumed to capitalize on the stocks rise to 150. When I noticed the turn down, it cought me by surprise. That's when I utilized the stop loss. It does just what it says, STOP LOSS. I then continued to buy on the way down thinking that it's going to turn up and make me some big bucks. No different than most of the NXTL investors out there. The only difference with me is, I couldn't hold MSFT, like NXTL so I had to sell daily.

My comment to ED. regarding bottom was based upon my desire to buy in permanently and ride it up to 150+ or a split. I want to know the best possible buy in point. I love Microsoft, and I feel deeply over the investment losses that the sharholders had to witness the last week, much like the investment losses I had to endure watching NXTL decline, especially, when my average cost per share is 27. I didn't stop loss the decline, I'm still here and will be for quite a while, Nextel is going to make me rich.

I'm so pissed at the market reaction to Asia, or whatever, that it has affected my eating, sleeping, laughing. John, you won't catch me saying anything bad about Microsoft and you won't catch me saying much good about the government's positon, just learn to live within the system and try to make the best of it.

I got coal in my stocking, hope you did better.

Regards

more serious, Al
