Hi Greg , sounds like the consumer is getting smarter
With a Sony 17" monitor they can see the benefit unlike a 3% improvement in speed with the PII
Also re. what do you think Compaq is going to use 500K socket 7 boards for?
Ask the Intellers , they will probably say for PIIs using a slot 1 adapter .

Ditto in Allentown, PA! The computer section at the best buy here was swamped with people looking for the sold out PC with the AMD chip.

I was pleasantly surprised!
