Hi Jane, I am sorry this took so long. That history site is very interesting. The book I use for reference on Amelinealism is on lone to a friend but I can share what I have stored in my mind. The term comes from the word Millenial as in Millenial Kingdom of Jesus. There are many millenial groups of theology but this one is based on the idea that Jesus Millenial Reign is now not a future event. They say that all the Old Testament Covenants and promises are fulfilled now through the Church and was always Gods plan to bless the people in this Kingdom and not who He made them with. The book of Revelations is said to have been prophecies about the world today not future in meaning. His 2nd coming is when a person accepts Him and His physical return will be to take us to Heaven I guess. There are so many errors with this theology that I have a hard time understanding it. When you see the term the True Israel of God that is their term for the believers Old and New Testament. If I get my book back I can give you alot more information on who started it and the scriptures that pin this as a false doctrine. I know some wonderful people that believe in this and I don't doubt their salvation but I do think that teaching and holding to this will affect their condition in the Kingdom. That is why they call the modern state of Israel an anti-christ state because they do not believe God is going to restore Israel as a nation the Church is the only Nation of God. So they have to ignore several pages of scriptures to find one that will, out of context support there thoughts. The real goal is to say God is done with Israel and we are His only Chosen people and have always been.
Most of the successful teachers of this are Catholic because the people are not encouraged to study scripture but to have the Priest interpret it for them, hence they are vulnerable for many years and when they are shown something different they fight to there death over it. This same thing happens to Jews that are taught that Jesus was not real by the people closest to them and they have a hard time accepting that these people can be wrong. Strongholds is an understatement. The Temple viel split and all people can come to God and study the scriptures for themselves to have a personal relationship with our God. That is what I would like to see on a site is how to develop a stronger personal relationship with Jesus. That draws more people than trying to convince lost people that they are going to hell when they don't even believe there is a hell. The point of expressing that non-believers are going to hell is to puff themselves up by saying we are the only ones that get to go to heaven. True as it is guaranteed for the believers in Jesus we sound like a bunch of arrogant jerks and that is not a representation of our Awesome Lord that was the most humble person that ever lived. The majority of His life He spent healing people, casting out demons and feeding the hungry and washing feet. Alan is right in the fact that he knows everyones heart and alot of times the way we see things from the scriptures reveal the condition of our hearts. I am sure that I see that God has not forsaken His people Israel and has an intense personal love for the Church and has an abundace of love for the lost as well. Remember for God so loved the world(sounds like sinners). I love the book of Job it is a great study for this thread on the way Jobs friends represented God that was not correct. They make Him out to be an unforgiving unloving punishing God. That I am sorry is how I see Him represented here alot. Israel are sinners not better no worse than others but what makes this important is knowing Him in a personal relationship and knowing He will provide a way for those that are Israel inwardly. That is also, why I asked about the Patriarchs before the Lord came. If God had a place for them then (Paradise) what makes everyone so sure He does not have a place now for the ones who are blinded for the sake of the Gentiles(Romans 11)
I would not go to court on this I just want people to soften a little and consider the nature and CHaracter of our God. The Judaisers they bring out from Galatians are the ones that are imposing Rabinacle law on Gentiles and were not right with God at that time, and Judas was a Jew we know is not in good shape so please continue to witness to them but not with anything Emile says about the Talmud they will think you are insane and you will loose all credability as Emile has with me. Just show the love of our Lord and continue to focus on the GOOD NEWS not the bad. Nancy
