MI Gov. Rick Snyder Holds State Of The State Address: Everything Sucks

Michigan Governor Rick Snyder Addresses Flint’s Water Crisis And Failing Detroit SchoolsMichigan’s Republican Governor Rick Snyder had to address his state Tuesday night on the heels of two huge crises and calls for his resignation and arrest. Protesters have been outside the governor’s offices nearly all month, and the hashtag #ArrestSnyder has been trending.

The governor has been under heavy criticism ever since it was learned that the city of Flint, Mich. had been poisoned with lead through the water ever since they changed their water source to the Flint River which then drained into corroded lead pipes and carried water into the city. This was a cost-saving move and was a debacle from the start. Within two months Michigan Department of Health and Human Services reported a spike in Legionnaires Disease — 87 cases have been reported in the two months after the water source change in the Flint area, which resulted in 10 deaths. Marc Edwards, a researcher from Virginia Tech studying the lead poisoning, told the Free Press there was a “very strong likelihood” the “dramatic” increase in the disease was due to the water source.

The second crises the governor had to address tonight involves Detroit Public Schools. Teachers are fed up with the deplorable conditions of their schools, so they took to Twitter to post pictures of the hazardous conditions they face.

REPUBLICAN AT THEIR BEST!!!! LMFAO!!

Right-Wing Slamming Palin For Trump Endorsement

The right-wing pundits are calling Sarah Palin a sell-out after her endorsement of Donald Trump. Sarah Palin was a favorite on the right, but her favor seems to be waning. She was once a perfect spokesperson: Pretty, Republican, crazy, God-fearing, and spoke in tongues. The right-wing pundits seemed to be able to make sense of what she said and were, in some way, able to translate it to their base.

Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld also lambasted Palin for her endorsement of Donald Trump because, to him, it reeks of opportunism.

Sarah Palin? Opportunism? Who would have seen that coming? It should surprise no one that a woman who’s made a career of photobombs would find one more reason to appear relevant.

Gutfeld painfully had to concede that “Palin’s endorsement is massive, because it will definitely get Palin’s vote.”

As the hosts of The Five talked about Palin choosing Trump over Cruz, Gutfeld said the fact that a strong religious conservative has abandoned another in favor of Trump shows “the opportunism of a lot of top conservatives who, when they saw the bandwagon, they jumped.”

Later in the segment, Gutfeld said that he had absolutely no sympathy for Cruz because of how he stayed silent for during Trump’s nasty attacks.
