Imagine there were uninsured idiots who are now "forced to buy healthcare insurance". When they eventually got sick they simply expected the taxpayer and ratepayers like myself to pay their way, and if the bill was very large they eventually filed for bankruptcy. When people buy a home the evil bank also forces them to buy fire insurance. What a world. Perhaps Bernie Sanders is correct that we need Medicare coverage for all Americans, just as all citizens do in other industrialized nations other than America and Switzerland. Switzerland has the system we've adopted and no one thinks twice when someone is jailed for cancelling their health insurance.
