Igbal-off topic, We have recently sold family property in Europe and want to transfer funds to our bank in states. What is the best way to do this to obtain best exchange rates and timely transfer? Most appreciative. Saulmon.

Hello IKE and ALL!!!! HAPPY NEW YEAR IN ADVANCE

Computer was down for quite some time, and I must say, that with the recent Tech killing frenzy, I was quite a bit down myself!! I haven't kept up on all of the posts at work, but have read enough to see some new faces and some resilience in the old faces in spite of what the market has done. What a market to have guessed the right way on, Huh!! And really no one was there on individual stocks or even the tech sector ... how could anyone be there since this is America's fortee!! Abby Cohen's recent comments seem to be right on, where she is concentrating on the things that the USA is the leader in ... Tech, Aircraft, Entertainment, etc. These are the long term plays.

I have been sitting tight with my core holdings for the past two months, playing on interesting card a few weeks ago that should pan out (psst ... LCI is rumored in a big way to be a takeover target, in the next week or so for an announcement ... caveats galore!). Other than that, I have been managing a portfolio for another individual who likes looking at selling longer-term puts on beaten up stocks in today's market, and also some Buy-Writes that make sense (And doesn't KLIC make sense in this market!!)

Wishing the best to all this Holiday season and a wonderful New Year!!! I will attempt to be back regularly to provoke a little discussion on specific Issues when appropriate. Ike -- where are you geographically now ... Paris? Looking forward to your January thoughts. Hope all is well with your family.
