They wanted to sell it so they could pursue growth markets. I guess led biz is chopped liver eh?

I think what they wanted to say and did not, is they want to be in a higher margin business.

LED will be high growth but it certainly will be lower margins.

I;ve been told that the most efficient processes for making the best LED is yet to be known, it was liken to the chip business 25 years ago with many process changes yet to be determined.

The manufacturer that devises the most efficient process wins.

The rest end up with low margins.

Sounds like DRAM memory to me.

That being said a lot of money has been made selling memory.
