The post below expresses perhaps better than anything else that I have read the appeal of Trump to the RW base. The article by Mead that I posted a few days ago gives an academic version of it, but misses the real passion that post expresses. The author goes by the nom de plume of "Angry White Dude" and is, as can be seen, quite outspoken on his blog. Needless to say, he is popular among SI's RW gang. This is what they are angry about and why they "give the finger" to the GOP establishment.

DONALD TRUMP WILL BE THE NEXT PRESIDENT
6 Angry White Dude by AWD

WHY THE HELL NOT?

The real nastiness is beginning. The long knives are coming out more and more against Donald Trump. Both the Republican Establishment and Democrats hate him. Which guarantees Donald Trump will be the next POTUS.

This primary is like none we’ve ever experienced. One where a successful businessman with no political experience dominates the Republican primary. One where Republican voters have completely rejected the Establishment-chosen candidates. And one where so-called conservative pundits and networks have exposed themselves as hacks for the Establishment.

The National Review has revealed their Establishment loyalty with a hit piece on Trump with lines like this:

Trump is a philosophically unmoored political opportunist who would trash the broad conservative ideological consensus within the GOP in favor of a free-floating populism with strong-man overtones.

Any number of “conservatives” on Fox News have for months trashed Trump. After each attack, Trumps numbers continue to rise.

I’ve never had any respect for political hacks. If your paycheck is based on what you say or who you support, you’re a hack. And the so-called conservative press is filled to the gills with hacks.

The Establishment is in panic mode and will soon have to accept that Trump will win the Republican nomination and the general election. Many “conservatives” are starting to hint or state they will either write in the Establishment candidate they prefer or simply vote for Hillary. That’s all you need to know why the Republican Establishment is the enemy and must be destroyed.

Fox News is now a joke. The network has openly trashed Trump for months now and has lost any credibility as “fair and balanced.” Beside the insulting fact that no woman is allowed on air unless they wear mini-skirts and have the physical appearance of Playboy bunnies. As MSNBC is a socialist Democrat hack network, Fox is clearly nothing more than a Republican Establishment hack network. Fox just has Playboy bunnies doing the bidding of their masters rather than the masculine Rachel Maddow or the feminine Chris Hayes on MSNBC.

The truth is, the Establishment would rather see Hillary Clinton as POTUS than Donald Trump or Ted Cruz. With Hillary as POTUS they can raise money from stupid people if Hillary wins by saying “we need your support to stop Hillary’s evil plans” while they fully fund and support the same evil plans. It’s nothing more than political professional wrestling.

The Establishment and their hacks either can’t realize or won’t admit the Republican conservative voter is fully aware and repulsed by their bulls*t. The Establishment has no clothes after decades of lying to their base. And they will not bring themselves to accept Donald Trump will be the next President.

Right now, Trump and Cruz are going at it trashing each other. Cruz must accept that 2016 is not his year. It may have been had Trump not entered the race. But Trump is pressing all the right populist buttons Americans want pushed.

Face it, no one but Trump could have put Bill Clinton on ice. Bubba is currently pulling in crowds of less than 100 sycophants while Trump is filling stadiums. All because Trump put Bubba in a corner by calling the Clintons out on Bill’s sexual past and present. I don’t think even Ted Cruz would have stuck that knife in Bubba’s ribs. But Trump did and Bubba is done.

What Americans like about Trump is he is overtly pro-American. At least he says he is. We still don’t know what the hell the guy stands for other than he says he will make America great again. As far as conservatives view it, how much worse could it get? Well, there’s no doubt Hillary Clinton or Bernie Sanders would continue Obama’s destruction of America, so why not give a non-politician billionaire saying the right things like Trump a chance? In other words, why the hell not?

Cruz must accept that he very well may one day be president but it won’t be this time. He should stop criticizing Trump and make himself into a pro-American constitutional statesman. What he has built will not go away. He will live to politically fight another day.

This is not a primary we are experiencing. This is a reckoning. The Republican Establishment and their press ilk have no more lies that will sell to their base. Our boots will absorb only so much piss before we realize it’s not raining. And our boots are saturated with Establishment piss. We’re getting new boots this time around.

Donald Trump will be the President. He will pull a good number of Democrats in the general election. The Democrat Party has done it’s level best to alienate and run off white Democrats. Especially white males. Trump will also pull in the highest number of black voters in the history of the Republican Party. Let’s just hope he will do one or two of the things he’s promised to. But, then again, he’s only promised to do one or two things.

AWD will vote for Trump if he’s the nominee. I will vote for Ted Cruz should he win. I will not waste my time or vote for another Republican Establishment loser. And the Republican Establishment has no one to blame than themselves for this. And AWD is not alone on this.

Yes, Trump will win. Why the hell not?

It's just another example of Trump playing the dupes. That isn't an accurate quote.

But Trump knew it wouldn't be reported correctly so it serves his purpose perfectly. This is a pattern.

You are being outsmarted.

Here's what he actually said.

"They say I have the most loyal people -- did you ever see that? --
where I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody,
and I wouldn't lose any voters," Trump said, illustrating his point by
pulling his fingers into a gun shape. "Okay? It's like incredible."

The "they say" makes all the difference in the meaning of this quote. It's disingenuous to leave it out.

The media predictably left out the first part of the statement to make Trump look bad and then went crazy over it, but all they succeeded in doing was giving him free publicity, emphasized the strength of his support, and made themselves look like the lying, biased pieces of shit that they are.

And the dupes lap it all up. Too funny.

This is the most entertaining election ever...
