I should have mentioned a little more about "The Perfect Storm."
It's non-fiction about the sinking of a commercial sword-fisher on
the Grand Banks. A good look into the life of commercial
fishermen. It also goes into the details of coast guard rescue,
and waves. Waves so long that they break when they reach
the edge of the continental shelf and show up as white lines
on satellite photos.

All my personal horror stories regarding waves and boats are
associated with doing things so stupid that I hesitate to admit
participation.

I sold my MSFT puts on December 24th, I wonder if I was too
early... It always seems I leave before the party gets going too
wild.

Hi James,

It's all true. Actually, I had such great confidence in the seaworthyness of the vessel that I really didn't worry. I was more concerned about being blown off course. It was a great ride, but I was glad it was over by morning.

The markets these days are very much like that. It's very easy to get blown off course if you don't trust your technical indicators.
