Thanks again for the post. Your posting on the Democratic primary last week, or so, by Krugman has changed my mind and put me into a state of doubt.

I'm surprised by Krugman's position on this. My concerns about Sanders were twofold: he was unelectable and if elected, unable to accomplish any of this. Krugman's argument is different, to the effect that Sanders has identified the wrong problems, particularly the shadow banks issue rather than Glass Siegal. I have no way to check on that so will keep reading to gather information.

I get his argument on the very serious difficulties of transitioning from our present unsatisfactory healthcare insurance policies to a single payer system. And I have little doubt he's right. It's easily checkable.

Not happy with this as I suspect is the same for Krugman. Single payer is by far the better system but the politics and institutional change to get from here to there is, at best, formidable. Sanders needs to talk more specifically about this.

One more thing. On Sanders unelectability. I have little doubt that his good numbers vis a vis Trump reflect the lack of serious negative campaigning against him. Once that gets started, the numbers will go down. Best I can tell for Clinton, however, the negatives are all baked in.
