Stock action

Larry --

Have any idea why TI's falling so fast? Is it tax-loss selling or has there been news I've missed?

Thanks in advance.

Pat

Sorry, I found the answer to my question:

<<<
TAIPEI, Dec 30 (Reuters) - TI-Acer, a joint venture of Acer Inc of Taiwan and Texas Instruments Inc , said on Tuesday it was further lowering its 1997 financial forecasts due to slumping world prices for memory chips.
TI-Acer said in a statement that the chipmaking venture was
expected to report a net loss in 1997 of T$4.6 billion, far beyond its October projection of a T$1.87 billion net loss.
The company revised its 1997 sales target down to T$11
billion from T$12.4 billion.>>>>

Since TI's dropping this business, why are they getting hit?

When a stock gets hit unfairly, it creates a good buying opportunity. I'll watch until it settles.
