shut off the Patriots' iPads

Some producer really caught hell for showing that incident, MSFT is the major sponsor of that show and the the "official Surface of the NFL." They were running ads before and after showing the non-working surfaces.

They cut back 14 minutes later to show us the surfaces were working just fine.

As already stated, they weren't iPads, they're Microsoft Surfaces, though many announcers have referred to them as iPads in the past. The league has tried to get them to stop doing that. I'm sure Microsoft executives have been apoplectic over it since they paid a whopping $400 million for the NFL to go with Surfaces instead of iPads.

That is hilarious.
