We shouldn't underestimate the Koreans. They are very very tough and will get over this problem and come out even tougher. Their products are good, their technology is good and they are capable of and will in their own way take al the suffering necessary to overcome this downturn.

Of course it's been a bit of a shock both to them and to us (not to mention their new president by all accounts) but Korea is a very good trading partner and and an even better allie and what is happening to them will make them better trading partners I don't think they could improve as an allie.

They will porbably make the tough changes necessary to their economic and socail structures before Japan will.
