Dixie Chicks Singer Slams Ted Cruz Like She Slammed BushJanuary 27, 2016 by Richard Zombeck No Comments

Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks took to Twitter to slam Ted Cruz in the same way she slammed George W. Bush over 10 years ago. This time with less backlash.

SHE WAS RIGHT ABOUT BUSH AND IS RIGHT ABOUT CRUZ

Back when George W. Bush was president, Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks made a bit of a splash when she said that she was ashamed to be from the same state. Considering she made the comment while introducing the band at a concert, a lot of people heard it.

Just so you know, we’re on the good side with y’all. We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas.

The backlash was enormous, resulting in the band being pulled from radio stations, death threats to band members, and pundits, the media as well as their fans lambasted them.

That incident has not kept Maines quiet however and she continues to play an active role in political commentary tweeting out her latest attack on Ted Cruz. “Just so you know….I’m ashamed Ted Cruz is from America ;)”

The wink is nice isn’t it, considering that Ted Cruz was born in Canada?

The tweet shows President Eisenhower with the quote, “I hate war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has seen its brutality, its futility, its stupidity.” That quote is next to a picture of Ted Cruz, with the quote, “We will carpet bomb them into oblivion. I don’t know if sand can glow in the dark, but we’re going to find out.”
