I know it's is somehwat related to the topic of Borland stock, but why don't you all take your language wars discussion onto another forum?

When I log in to SI and see there is 15 or 20 messages in the Borland thread, I think there must have been something happening related to the stock. Instead all I see is the same argument that has been going on for too long.

Please start a new thread and take the discussion there.

The latest Java developer count was one million although Microsoft would probably argue 800,000 Java developers.

Rod,

There may well have been 1,000,000 copies of Java development environments sold, or of some other measure. But it is tough to convince people there are 1,000,000 developers out there using Java without a few commercially successful products out there. As the owner of a couple of Java tools, I'm sure I'm counted amongst that 1,000,000 -- but I'm sure you won't disagree with me that referring to me as a "Java developer" would be a misnomer, at best.
