Somehow I don't interpret that as a positive endorsement. In any case, I agree with you, but neither you nor I are particularly average. In cases of severe uncontrollable pain, I would not get all huhu about having one steroid shot to bring me back to a level of coping. The alternative, which I have endured, of weeks of severe pain in bed, may just not be what some people are capable of.

Some people just don't do well with pain, as they have never tried to deal with it regularly. They don't know a bang from a tear. They just don't have much idea of the package they are moving around.

I've seen very few positive results with Steroid shots.---- But in some cases it changes quality of life significantly and can allow a person to do the necessary functioning associated with a meaningful life. It's a hard trade-off but it is a trade-off.
