I just found out my zip code has 2,710 CHL holders. The population in this zip code is 46,831 with 13,693 households. Some demographics for this zip: 8% black, 7% Asian, 18% Hispanic. 10% Social Security recipients. Avg house value 147,500 though the median list price is 246,000 (probably seems low to people not in TX but 85% of the homes in this zip have 3 or 4 bedrooms - about half each, so the homes are nice.) Texas as a whole has 937,419 active CHL holders. 3.6% of the population. 299 Texas zip codes have more than 1,000 CHL holders. In my zip 5.8% of the population has a CHL. I don't btw but am glad so many of the citizens here are packing.
