Positive FA observations:

(1) Though the last application for Nasdaq membership didn't pan out, this time all requirements should be met (and if they aren't, there will be serious explaining to do). I suspect this alone is having a salutary effect on share prices.

(2) On the one hand the warrant call brought in the cash necessary to meet the Nasdaq requirements and fund acquisitions; on the other it is less dilutive than would have been the case had every warrant been exercised. Investors seem to like the mix.

Positive TA observations:

(1) The key moving average support on the way up was the 26 day. Yesterday BNGO went through it. I would venture to say the next resistance will be around 7 3/8, the 50-day moving average, which BNGO passed through in an intraday run today.

(2) By my trendline drawing (admittedly art rather than science), we broke and closed above the warrant call downtrend yesterday as well.

(3) The often-alluded-to Elder indicators (weekly MACD and stochastics) have reversed after a long southern hiatus. These are primarily trend-following indicators, but they've turned.

(4) The famous January effect: historically, the best month for small caps is January. I may even have read (in Barron's?) that beaten-down small caps do especially well, since investors sell for tax write-offs in December, then reinvest with the new year.

I for one am very curious to see what next week will bring.
