Hi Alan,
I have looked for the translation of Jesus to Yeshua and cannot find it. Would you tell me where this translation of Jesus's name comes from? Is it peculiar to one religion, if so what is it? Appreciate you helping me to understand.
As for the rest of your post I don't know what to make of it. I agree that the Old testament figures were justified by their faith. I am also incredulous that you think anything I have said is anti-Jew.

Have a good day,

Bob

Greetings Alan, << Robert says he loves the Jews....... >> Indeed I do Alan, just as I love all nations and peoples and have repeatedly stated this fact to you. Try to understand that " Israel's chosedness " was primarily that through this race the Messiah would come, as promised to Abraham. ( Gen 12:1-3 ).From Calvary onward, Gods promises to the nation of Israel is the same given to all other nations, that being, " Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shall be saved". God no longer deals with one specific nation as He did in the Old Covenant, as The Lord Jesus Christ now has established the New Covenant with His own blood. The Jewish people living in Israel and all other nations must now come as all other nations and peoples must come, and that is only through the Lord Jesus Christ. The true " Israel of God " is made of Jew and Gentile peoples from all nations. God is no longer concerned with what type of blood you say you have in your veins but with what kind of faith you have in your heart. Should it be the Abraham type who believed the promise given to him by God, one becomes part of this true " Israel of God " , the Church. May you see this truth according to Psalm 36:9. " For with Thee is the fountain of life; In Thy light we see light ". Grace and peace be unto you. Robert
