Hi Mike, CHIR is holding.. don't yet see anything inspiring, though its been steady to up for the last week in contrast to other sectors.

A note from Briefing on funds?

"Mutual Fund Data: AMG Data Services reports that mutual fund outflows for the week ended December 23 reached $9.48 billion, even more of an outflow than the $1.09 billion in the prior week..."

For the January effect to work we'll need fuel.

Happiest of New Years to you.

Jim

Good morning, Mikey

Sentiment favors telecom going into the Jan rally, but thus far price volume says strength of sentiment is not robust for LU while stronger for TLAB and ATI.

The CSCO kid continues to move as expected regardless of mf, so what are the blocks doing today? If CSCO closes over 55 today (or this week) on healthy volume and stays above ... I shall view CSCO having returned within its bull channel. Then I'd expect CSCO to stroll up to previous high as the market enters options expiry activities. Will ride CSCO long one more time, I'll short the kid a bit later.

EMC, Soundview upgraded to "buy" today. Are blocks buying on the upgrade?

Will post market views on the Idea thread in later this week, so far no change. Later.
