For people individually, for families, and for society as a whole. > Lying to children is a crime. For example telling children that a virgin had a baby and that a dead person literally got out of the cave and came back to life is bad. <Second, there are people who have experienced answered prayers and other evidences of the supernatural, like healings. How do you explain these facts? > Dishonesty. People who start out with false premises and dishonesty are unlikely to become honest regarding other aspects of their stated beliefs. Coincidence would explain some answered prayers: "Should I turn left or right to get safely home?" "GO LEFT MY SON!" If left turns out to be right, and right turns out to be wrong, then the prayer was answered, but a flipped coin could have got that right. The main "healings" are due to the immune system people have. Some "healings" are simply lies to deceive the gullible and get their money. There's no magic. Everything is explainable in reality if we just have enough information. I can't try Christianity from the inside just as I can't try Santa Claus from the inside. The subject is important enough to post my opinion because the maniacs who believe these supernatural crazy things will kill me and do circumscribe my life and cause pain and suffering. blog.dilbert.com Christians are evil people. Evil people are those who lie about reality and act on their false beliefs to circumscribe the lives of others. I have been forced by Christians to sing their religious songs or be beaten with a stick. I have been forced to pretend to "pray" or be beaten. Fortunately such barbarians are not so ascendant nowadays. But we now have the damned Moslem jihadists out to maraud and murder. Mqurice
