The fundamentalist counter point to their argument is this:
We are yet to see more earnings warnings. Often, companies warn as soon as their Q ends. I am not sure if market has discounted all the bad news. We are still seeing lofty valuations. Unless the money flow is increasing, it is hard to believe that the worst is over - even for the short-term.

If motorola doesn't warn before the earnings are released, the day they release the earnings we will start another major descent in techs. IMHO!

They just can't meet the estimate of 0.70 of this quarter.

I, for one, hope that they are right as I have not taken advantage of previous opptys to place a few bearish bets, though I have hedged my largest long position selling calls and buying cheap puts. Tell them to bid IBM and KO up again as I would feel very safe shorting these if they were a little higher, say 10% or so.
