I am certain that you are correct, and that I am talking to a wall. Confirmation bias is not a sufficient explanation for why right wingers "believe" in the many falsehoods and misleading indicators - created by extreme partisans - that intentionally deny reality, accepted science and economic definition. Many of these people are generally and unapologetically disingenuous in what they state. Others are perhaps just slaves to their own confirmation bias, inexplicably incapable of recognizing it.
