Ian, I can understand your intolerance for people painting things with a broad brush. I thought the conversation was more in talking of smart card use in Europe versus USA rather than Europe vs USA in general. Of course we Americans know where the real technical leadership is coming from in the world today - more specifically the state from which it is coming <gg> .

In regard to Korea, this situation will be positive for all, long term. The strong companies will survive, the weak will disolve or allocate resources elsewhere. Consolidation is occuring on a global level and at the same time a tremendous individual effort of entrepreneurship. This makes for very interesting cousins indeed.

The trickle down theory of Ronnie and Margie continues for the betterment of all. Let's just hope we have enough buyers in the short term for all of this great productivity.
