Dwight: Silver may consolidate its recent strength with a bit of sideways trading till the close of 1997. There should appear an opportunity to add HL shares this week on weakness, should the above unfold. I suspect gold's opportunity to shine will be in tandem with its sister metal's next ascent. From this, I hope to establish a position in Homestake soon. Examination of its recent purchase seems to reveal a capacity for shrewd deal-making by management. I expect to flesch-out the corpus of this transaction over a conversation with the home office, but I like the look of it thus far. Yours, T.V.H.
