Those are three reasons for the decline but not the only ones.

1 - Not the only three. Working age men are participating at a lower rate then before (not just retirees and women). Last I checked on that point (which wasn't recently, but no one's posted any indication that its changed) the decline in the labor force participation rate for men was larger then the decline for women.

2 - Women leaving the labor force, is just as much a decline in the labor force, and a decline in employed people, as men leaving, and many of the women are discouraged would be workers just like the men.
