Richard - Comparing Cymer's DUV laser systems and JMAR's XRL is hard to do since we don't know for sure what JMAR's system will cost. However, I think it's fair to say that JMAR's XRL will cost more initially -- BUT, the cost theoretically will be spread out over a longer time period, as X-ray can be scaled down to smaller line-width applications as need arises. This would not be true of the DUV system. Someone with more technical background could probably extrapolate the costs better. Also, bear in mind, that at some point (.13 micron??), DUV will no longer be usable, so regardless of what it costs, another system will have to be used.
