The Obama birthers are reduced to making claims that are not based in law, i.e. territories are not considered to be American soil when they actually are

To boil it down, in the case of Obama it is a matter of truth, while in the Cruz situation it is a matter of law. Pretty simple, certainly, given the fact that pretty much everyone agrees with Cruz on the law.

And no one really knows the facts about Obama.
