Zeev: FWIW, I did not mean to imply that there is a declining trend in estimating the impact of Korea. There was no chronology to these estimates. They came at different times and my main point was that they were all over the map.

While I realize you were talking about shipments, if $36B is the best we can expect for 1998, I think that would make for a lot of happy campers. Dataquest estimates 1998 at $ 21B and SEMI is at $ 31B. This is all the more interesting if one considers that Dataquest puts 1997 global consumption at $19.6B and SEMI puts it at $28.3B.
