My Dad was the largest stock holder of a small rural bank in a dairy farm community. Twice a year he has state and federal examiners going over the loans. When told a loan was non performing he wrote it off and repo'd it or got whatever he could for it and wrote off the difference. His bank was written up as one of the best managed and he became the Wisconsin president of the Banking Association. You can do the prudent thing or you can hide the stink with smoke and mirrors. These guys know what is going on and I say let them fall as the cards dictate. The credit crisis was 8 - 9 years ago. If you haven't got the write offs done by now - hoping to scheme up high fees on the next cheating scam is not the answer. Clean it up or go belly up I say !! Bob
