You're absolutely right Ciao, thanks for pointing that out - I had taken current assets of $4M as the numerator.

According to the Investor's Digest of Nov 21, 1997 (page 483), a newsletter called Buy Low, Sell High recommended Microstar as an "undervalued stock of the month" when it was at $2.10.

The extract reads ".. because of the renewed focus on its services group and cost controls, has significantly enhanced profitability. With a working capital position equivalent to about $1 share, it appears that investors are attributing a value of roughly $3.5 Million to the company's operations, or only 4.4 times projected 1997 earnings".
