Hi Alexa, was Santa good to you? Did you have fun with the kids?

I've been having a blast playing with Ryan's racecar track, after going through a stress out from the kids stepping on it, I decided to race down to Eagle Hardware and build a HUGE table to hold it two feet off the ground. I don't know why I never built one of these tables for the train sets, it sure would have elleviated allot of stress in the past.

Our tree is drying out fast. I'm afraid if I shook it we would have nothing but stick twigs left. :-)

Titanic is an awesome flick. My non professional critique. :-)

Michael

Merry Christmas, Alexa, I have been in the kitchen for days I think-well at least since early this morning..
I am molding butter into elegant little seashell shapes, but I have only one mold, so I have to wait while it freezes and then do more. My bread actually rose -twice-so all is going well. Once when I baked bread for a party, it never rose; I baked it anyway, and it came out like the unleavened loaves. Too bad it wasn't Passover. My guests probably thought they were going to be sent to wander in the desert for 40 years.

I tell you this hoping to improve my elitism standing so that you will want to associate with me.

Actually I don't think you're elitist, I think you're just honest. I never have been clear on why it's elitist to want to spend time with people of similar wit and intelligence...it's natural. The people here at DAR enjoy each other's sense of humor tremendously, while others have found us singularly unfunny or silly or aggravating (and let us know it). I can't stand Rodney Dangerfield or Richard Lewis, but they've made lots of money as comedians so someone must laugh at them. Our diversity is what makes us so fascinating, even it it is what causes wars.
And I must say that I love the way you and Freddy argue. You're quite nice to each other in a barbed kind of way and it's very sweet. But then, I'm full of Christmas cheer and good will today.
