Whew. Thought I missed something.

Actually, the Constitution tasks the Senate with advising and consenting. It says nothing about refusing to do either. While an individual senator may not consent, it is unique for the Senate as a whole to announce that they will not consent at all to anyone for any reason. In fact, it very well may be viewed as the Senate refusing to do their job.

No surprise that a Republican dominated Senate has gone criminal. The ends justify the means, right?
