Yes I know the demand for Marble. Marble is like a gem stone. The better the gem, the better the market for it.
The harder the Gem measured in mohs the general rule of thumb is the higher the price so "mohs=market=price.
So if you have architectural Marble, it is better then regular marble because its crush point is higher, its moh measure is higher and its price is higher.

So Italian Marble has a high MOH measure. However most of their market now is outside of Europe. So they are handicapped by having to FOB Italy. When you consider the price they get and the delivery costs any Marble deposit that has a high MOH measure or "Architectural designation" would be in much higher demand then any other marble in North America.

Because I assume you are referring to CCB Marble and because it has been designated as Architectural, then the demand exceeds 1.400,000 tons per year but there are other Architectural Marble producers in North America. So then it becomes a "beauty contest" as far as whom gets what. So far we have contracted a sale for 75,000 tons. I believe we will be able to do 150,000 to 225,000 per year with the "quality of Marble we have at $200-$300 per ton FOB Hwy 50 Grenville.
