Bork was rejected because of some of his rulings. That is why there were Republicans who voted against him. That is the Senate doing its job. Like it did many times in the past. It wasn't intended and rarely has operated as a rubber stamp.

Perhaps, the right of government to spend money it doesn't have. Not the legal right, of course. But just Senators' preferences.

If it is based on their work as a judge, go for it.

Or maybe create an abortion litmus test the way Democrats have

Certainly judges have been nominated for that reason by Republicans. Are you pretending otherwise?

No Democrat in our lifetimes has be rejected because he/she was too liberal.

Why restrict it the time frame? Oh yeah, because you think it is clever. Being able to appoint a supreme court justice is not something every president gets to do. Picking a particular time window is something a lot of bull shit artists do because you can always find a window to make your point.

To have the Senate refuse to even consider candidates before they are even nominated is a new low for Republicans. No previous Senate has ever done this. But wiping their ass on the Constitution is something we have come to expect from your party.

Your posts continue to be as blindly partisan and duplicitous as always. I personally find your attempts to rewrite history appalling. Always have and always will.

It is funny. Bork admitted he was dirty and you can't live with it.
