What verse(s) is my view based on? My position is that Jesus didn't say hate your country and take the side of your enemies against your own nation and people as you do. The complete absence of any scripture supporting your position. The prophets of the OT condemned their nation's sins but from the standpoint of calling their nation back to righteousness. They didn't champion Assyrians or Babylonians for instance. Your position on America is similar to that of the Iranian mullahs, that America is the Great Satan of nations.
