Republicans are more worried about getting Votes than they are about keeping the government working.

If the situation were reversed I think the Democrats would do the same thing.

Scalia wasn't just another Justice. He was THE justice for conservatives.

I don't see a new Justice taking the bench before 2017.

>> “This is not the first time the Republicans have come out with a lot of bluster only to have reality sink in,”

It is all just more red meat for the regular right-wing partisan idiot crowd coming down from the top.

It is one thing for the leadership of the senate to state they'll abdicate their constitutional responsibility through obstructionism. It will be another thing when the functioning of the body comes to a halt over the partisan fiasco such word in action would actually create.

It was fun to watch Rubio twisting and struggling to tow McConnell's official party line in interviews yesterday. A reminder of how sleazy politicians are.

As with Cruz's threats to shut the government down, the facts on the ground will overwhelm the extreme ideologically staked position. A dysfunctional senate for a year would become a similar and familiar act of self-destruction for the far right. Here's hoping they go ahead and obstruct; it would most certainly cost Republicans control of the senate. Just another well plotted losing trajectory set by the GOP leadership.

Obama's Supreme Court nominee is going to get BORKED.

Nobody cares if the crybabies here like it, or any of the occupydemorat clowns like it.

Revenge, especially after waiting 30 years, is soooo sweet.
